What is Key Club?
Key Club International is the high school organization sponsored by Kiwanis International. Key Club assists Kiwanis in carrying out its mission to serve the children of the world. High school student members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities, such as cleaning up parks, collecting clothing and organizing food drives. They also learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district and international levels. The Carolinas District, chartered in 1947, has over 12,000 members with over 200 clubs. Learn more.
District Convention 2014
District Convention, commonly referred to as DCON, is a three-day annual convention held at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel in Durham, NC. This convention allows for positive reinforcement, excitement, training, leadership skills, and most importantly friendships. Learn more.
Carolinas District Key Club News
From November 1 to November 3, members of the Kiwanis Family gathered in Black Mountain, North Carolina for the annual Kiwanis Family Conference. The Carolinas District welcomed Kiwanis members, Circle K members, and Key Club members from all over the United States to the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly Center for a packed weekend of Kiwanis Family bonding.
It’s that time of year again – dues payment season. In order for your club to be considered active and in good standing with both Key Club International and the Carolinas District, you must pay dues. Dues are $13.00 per member (half goes to the Carolinas District, half to Key Club International). Your club pays dues through a platform known as the Membership Update Center (MUC), and dues must be paid by December 1.
