District Secretary - Adam Horne
Dear Carolinas Key Club District,
My name is Adam Horne, and I’m incredibly excited to be able to call myself your 2019-2020 District Secretary. I’m currently a senior at Jack Britt High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina. There, I joined Key Club as an introverted and admittedly short Freshman. I had no clue what a “servant leader” was, and thought that Key Club was only about getting volunteer hours. When I attended my first District Convention, I realized just how wrong I was! Since then, I’ve served on the District Board for the past two years as a Lieutenant Governor and currently as your District Secretary.
As the Carolinas District Secretary, my responsibilities include to make minutes of District Board meetings, create contact information directories, and facilitate the collection of contact information through Lieutenant Governors. My primary goal is to help Lieutenant Governors be the best they can be so that they can effectively work with clubs and their officers. I focus on being an open resource to Lieutenant Governor’s, to encourage them instead of dissuade them, and to listen to their problems with an understanding mind. Through this, I hope that every club in the Carolinas can be positively impacted by their Lieutenant Governor. Although we’ve made a great deal of progress towards this goal, there are still many clubs who aren’t in contact with their Lieutenant Governor. If your club is as such, you can help by submitting your information through the “Contact Information Submission” button. Thank you for contributing to this great service year, and I look forward to many more to come!
