Carolinas Key Clubbers:
School is out! Most of us have completed our final exams, and summer has officially started. With all the fun and excitement that comes in this time of year, it is sometimes difficult to fit in Key Club. How can your club stay active in the summer when there are not even regularly scheduled meetings?
Summer service relies on one thing: good communication. It is highly important that you gather the contact information of the most active members of your club before school dismisses for the summer. Try to host a casual meeting every two weeks to discuss service project ideas, and use these key people to spread the word. If possible, hold a service project once a month, at the least! Without school taking up seven hours a day, you should find it is much easier to schedule events that everyone can attend. Whether it be a car wash or volunteering at a soup kitchen, it is always important to serve our communities, especially in the summer!
All the Best,
2014-2015 Carolinas District Governor
