Congratulations to our second featured club, Whale Branch Early College High School!
Located in Seabrook, South Carolina, Whale Branch Early College High School just chartered their Key Club this year. Already, the club members are off to a great start with their first community service project. This past month, the club collected canned foods for a local food bank in Seabrook. The club members gathered more than 50 canned food items in November, including corn, green beans, peanut butter, and fruit. The Whale Branch club will distribute these items to help feed families in need in their community. In the picture above, Club President Pedro Mendoza (center) is surrounded by his fellow Key Club members. The Whale Branch Early College High School sponsoring Kiwanis members, Fred Krumm, Carl Alston, and Robert Semmler, are seen along with the club's Faculty Advisor, Elizabeth Waldorf.
If your club is interested in submitting a Spotlight on Service entry, email a photo and description of a successful service project to Spotlight@carolinaskeyclub.org to be considered for the December post!
