In a little over a month, we will all be gathering for the best season of the year: DCON season!
What's that, you may ask? District Convention of course! Here you can not only have the time of your life but also learn about Key Club, participate in elections and even run yourself for an important position like Lieutenant Governor!
One of the most exciting things you can participate in at DCON, however, are the contests. From an oratorical speech contest to a scrapbooking contest to a talent show performance, you and your club can be well-represented in any way!
How can you do this? How do I learn more about this? If you delve into the Carolinas website for all the information, you can more than likely find all the information. However, who has time for that? For this, I will describe the different contests and where exactly to find the forms and details necessary to win!
For the District level and International contests, the submissions must be mailed to the District office by March 1st, 2015 to be considered in the contests. However, a few of the scrapbooks must be brought and turned in at District convention itself rather than mailed. If you click the link here, then you will be redirected to all of the specifics for all of the District and International contests.
On the other hand, the District only contests are judged on simply the District level. These contests must also be mailed by March 1st, 2015 to the District Office. The forms are all included in the registration packet. For the Impromptu essay contest and talent competition, more information will be given upon entrance at District convention itself. The Carolinas District wants to see your club shine through the awards and contests at District Convention! Some of the contests may just take a few minutes for your club to fill out yet you could win a great award and be recognized at District Convention! Good luck and we hope to see your club there winning all of the awards!
