Carolinas Key Club Members,
Colder weather, a few days off from school, and time to be spent with our loved ones are right around the corner! I always look forward to the month of December as a chance to relax and unwind before beginning the New Year strong. For your Key Club, the holiday season provides numerous opportunities to serve your homes, schools, and communities. Whether volunteering in your local soup kitchen, collecting coats and blankets for the homeless shelter, or caroling at a retirement home, December is your chance to give back in a more personal way. Use this time to make a mark on your community.
In addition, I would like to highly recommend that you consider donating to the Christmas for Children fundraiser to benefit the Boys and Girls Homes this year. Since the Carolinas District began supporting the Homes in 1961, we have always made an effort to provide the residents with a memorable Christmas holiday. With your club’s donations, we can be sure that every child at the Boys and Girls Homes receives a present this year. I cannot think of a more meaningful way to serve the children of North and South Carolina.
This December, lead your Key Club to focus on service, reminding our world that caring really is our way of life.
Cullen Tyndall, Carolinas District Governor
